The programme fee represents the academic and residency design costs outlined above. Living expenses during district residencies are addressed separately through the Programme Scholarship and the Praxis Fellowship.

The programme is committed to ensuring that financial circumstances do not limit access for capable and motivated learners. Recognising that individuals most committed to public service and systems-level change often encounter significant financial barriers, the programme offers a framework of Programme Scholarship and a Praxis Fellowship to support equitable participation.

What is Programme Scholarship?

Scholarships, including full waivers of the ₹8,00,000 programme fee, are available to selected learners. These scholarships are intended to support learners’ full participation in the programme.

What is Praxis Fellowship?

Selected learners will be awarded a Praxis Fellowship of ₹75,000 per month to support essential living expenses while undertaking full-time residency in districts.

Disbursement of the Praxis Fellowship is contingent upon active participation in the residency, timely submission of academic and reflective assignments, and satisfactory evaluation by the programme team.

How to Avail Scholarship and Praxis Fellowships?

Step 1
Apply to the Programme

All applicants must first complete the Programme in Public Policy and Management application. Scholarships and fellowships are awarded only to applicants who are shortlisted or selected through the admissions process.

Step 2

Indicate Interest in Financial Support

As part of the application form, applicants may indicate whether they wish to be considered for scholarships and the fellowship.

Step 3

Submit Financial Support Documents (Post-Shortlisting)

Applicants who are shortlisted or offered admission and have indicated interest in financial support will be invited by the programme team to submit a separate financial support form along with relevant documentation within a specified timeline.

Step 4

Review and Decision-Making

All financial support applications are reviewed through a confidential and structured assessment process. Decisions are informed by assessed financial need and are communicated along with the admission offer. The process is guided by principles of equity, transparency, and dignity, and all financial information is used solely for the purpose of determining need and is handled with strict confidentiality.

Priority Considerations

Applicants from a wide range of backgrounds may be considered for financial support. Priority consideration is given to individuals who may face barriers to access higher education due to economic, social, or structural factors, including but not limited to:

Applicants from Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), and Other Backward Class (OBC) communities

Applicants from vulnerable or economically constrained family circumstances

Persons with disabilities

First-generation learners

Gender and sexual minorities (LGBTQIA+)
